We use AWS S3 buckets for software installations and uploaded file repositories, presenting a presigned URL from Cumulocity for file traffic.
Question is: can we do the same thing with firmware for firmware updates? Or does firmware have to reside in the Cumulocity repository?
Yes exactly, as Nagesh mentioned, you can provide the firmeware via exernal URI. In General the software concepts are very similar to firmware in Cumulocity. The big difference is that you can have a list of software instead of one single firmware per device.
