Configurable Event Logging for LwM2M Devices

Optimize troubleshooting and reduce costs with flexible logging options. Choose between standard lifecycle events, verbose logging for detailed diagnostics, or disable logging entirely to minimize storage costs. Learn More

Data Management and Analytics

More efficient time series storage

Available as a public preview, tenants using the standard measurement data model can now migrate their measurement data to the new time series data model with reduced storage costs and improved query performance. There are some limitations and it is highly recommended you read through the documentation prior to starting the migration process. Learn More

Multi-tenancy for Analytics Builder

Significantly reduce hosting costs for self-hosted environments by executing Analytics Builder models from sub-tenants within a single, shared microservice running on the parent tenant.

OEE Block for Analytics Builder

Measure manufacturing effectiveness efficiently with the new Overall Equipment Effectiveness calculation block. This open-source addition streamlines analysis of availability, performance, and quality metrics within your production processes. Learn More

Various Improvements to Streaming Analytics

Key updates include new alarms for dropped events, improved parameter naming and documentation, enhanced property extraction, and UI refinements such as breadcrumbs and better toolbar behavior. Additional features include new EPL actions, expanded expression capabilities, and improved event handling, all contributing to a more powerful and user-friendly analytics experience.

User Experience enhancements for Cumulocity DataHub - Enhancements to the DataHub Home Page providing an at a glance a view of what pipelines DataHub is running and how the system is performing. Enhancements to the additional column interface make it easier to enhance your offloading pipeline by for example visually expanding struct data.

Security and Platform Services

Certificate Revocation List

Certificate management has been improved with comprehensive revocation capabilities. As part of the certificate validation during device authentication a check is done to ensure the certificate is still valid. If the revoked certificate information is maintained by the issuing Certificate Authority (CA), the online check option can be selected. If the CA does not maintain the CRL information, the offline setup can be selected. Learn More

Enhanced Password Security - Strengthen your security posture with improvements to password management. Administrators can no longer reset passwords directly but instead can force password resets or disable accounts as needed. Learn More

Expanded X.509 Certificate Support

Connect devices via HTTP and LwM2M using X.509 certificates, not just MQTT, with improved certificate chain handling for broader compatibility.

For Developers

Web SDK Improvements

Benefit from semantic versioning and transition to the standard Angular CLI (ng-cli), aligning with industry standards for a more efficient development experience. Learn More

Microservice SDK Update

Enhanced developer experience with Spring Boot 3.3.x, offering improved security, future-proof compatibility, and better support for cloud-native environments. Learn More

Cumulocity Codex Enhancements

Access new components like the HookServices API, CountdownInterval component, and Datapoint Export Component for more efficient custom application development. Learn More

Thanks for the summary, very appreciated.
I notice that the change-notes only provide the changes compared to version 2024.0

As we are on a later minor release of 2024, we can’t really decipher the full list of changes compared to our version.
Is there any way to properly filter that list against a specific minor version of the 2024-release?

Hi Christoph.

Our release notes do not offer a filter for release or component versions. Generally, minor releases do not contain new features, previews or API changes. Therefore there can only be some overlap for critical fixes and small improvements that have also been provided in 2024 maintenance releases . Please use the 2025.0 release notes and based on the mentioned ticket IDs disregard the entries from 2024.0 to the version that is in use as duplicates.

Thanks & Cheers
Jens

What I do is look at the change log with the version numbers included:
Cumulocity Change logs with Version

Filtering isn’t possible, but at least it is possible to work it out yourself what was released in which version.
