Behaviour of SmartRules on groups

Hello,
When using SmartRules with groups we observe the behaviour that if a device is added to the group for which a SmartRule is active the rule does not automatically get activated for added devices. This is very unintuitive/cumbersome for users since they have to revisit the groups SmartRule page after adding the device and activate the rule for the new devices as well.

Is this intended behaviour or a bug? If it is intended is there a way to automatically activate the rules for newly added devices in groups where SmartRules are active?

Unfortunately, this is a known limitation of the current Smart rules implementation. The only workaround is to manually edit the smart rule to include the required devices.

We do have a task on our backlog to improve the situation but unfortunately we cannot provide an ETA at this time.
